SCHOOL: High school is over (though I've been back quite a few time since the school year ended) and college has begun. For those of you who *might* be wondering, the valedictorian speech went pretty well. I have a video of it, though it's hard to hear, or a typed copy if you'd like to read it.
College is going well, though not as well as I'd like. Grades aren't horrible, though I am worried about the one class and I only had two A's at midterms. Oh well, I'm working on it.
Oh, and I don't know how many of you know this, but I was originally going to go to college for mechanical engineering. Because the school I decided to go to (Morgan State University in Baltimore, MD) doesn't offer it, I decided to switch to computer engineering. So far, I'm happy that I had to change my mind. I think this is more up my alley, plus now I have a couple people who can help if I need it in those classes.
LIFE: I'm officially eighteen (been a little over a month). Not a big change in how I feel about myself but there are little things here and there that surprise me and then remind me that I am now technically an adult. Can I go back to being a kid?? Just kidding, I haven't gotten to that point yet.
HOLIDAYS: Spent Fourth of July (and the week after) camping with a friend of mine and his family in Virginia. Had a lot of fun.
Halloween was, to steal said friend's word, pimpopanonymous. I know, I know, you don't know what it means. If I remember his definition correctly, it means something along the lines of "more awesome than anything ever". Now, sure, Halloween could have been better, but it was pretty awesome. We're already planning to do something bigger next year. I'll end up posting a few pics I'm sure, though they'll probably go into my scraps because they weren't the best pictures ever.
OTHER: Went to a Veterans Day Appreciation Ceremony yesterday that had a whole lot of different presentations about American military during the different wars. A few people from my reenacting group represented the War of 1812 and then there were also people representing the Civil War and one, if not both, of the World Wars. There'll be some pictures from that as well.
I think that's it and I need to be heading to Biology anyway.
