Have I ever mentioned that I wish that I could draw dragons to my own satisfaction?? That sentiment still holds, especially now that I've enjoyably sped through the Temeraire Series by Naomi Novik. I devoured the series, inhaled it if you will. And I should be getting the fifth book quite soon. It is an amazing series and I wish I could show my love for it by gracing it with some fanart but I don't see that happening anytime soon.

As for the 'reality' portion of this journal...

Life's going handsomely, even if one moment I feel like I'm holding on only by the skin of my teeth and the next feeling bored out of my mind. But then, I suppose, such is the life of a senior in high school, stuck in that delicate balancing point between my last year of primary education and my first year of college, which is another beast entirely. I'm suddenly happy that I decided not to leave home (though I may live on campus) for college because I think I'd go mad dealing with such an endeavor.

[Gee, can you tell that not only have I been reading for the last three days but also that I'm in a mood to write?? ]

Graduation is Tuesday, and I look at it with a combination of elation and just a slight gulp of dread. But then, I suppose that's to be expected when the valedictorian (who must give a speech at a graduation) is not terribly fond of speaking in public. Oh well, I'll have my friends' encouragement and that gladdens me to no end (I've realized as of late how much I love my friends and for whatever reason, am in a sentimental mood ).

Otherwise, I don't know what to think. I'd like a weekend to sit back and relax with my friends, but alas, I don't think I've got one of those until like August, thanks to senior week, reenactments, and orientation for college. Wait, maybe the last week in June...ahh, I'll just have to see.
